MTV2 Channel Television
MTV2, owned by Paramount Media Networks through MTV Entertainment Group, originally launched as an all-music video channel. Over time, it transitioned away from its music programming focus, especially during the 2000s. By 2011, MTV2 began targeting young adult men with a blend of lifestyle and reality programming, reruns of male-targeting MTV shows, sitcoms, movies, and a daily block of hip-hop and rock music videos in the early mornings. The network became well-known for its original programming, including Joking Off and Kingin’ with Tyga. As of 2021, MTV2 primarily airs movies, acquired sitcoms, and reality shows, along with reruns of MTV programming and other content from sibling networks.
