Pop, also known as Pop TV, is an American pay television channel owned by Paramount Global through its MTV Entertainment Group. The network was launched in 1981 as a barker channel that provided program listings. Over time, it evolved into a general entertainment channel. It underwent several rebrands, including Prevue Channel, Prevue Guide, and TV Guide Channel. The channel offered entertainment segments, news, and red carpet coverage. In 2009, Lionsgate acquired the network, shifting its focus to general entertainment with reruns of dramas and sitcoms. In 2015, the channel was rebranded as Pop and continues to offer programs related to popular culture.
