Universo Channel Television
Universo is a U.S.-based pay television channel owned by NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises. It targets bilingual Hispanic adults aged 18 to 49. The channel offers a variety of programming, including sports, scripted and reality series, and music. It serves as a companion to NBC and Telemundo. Universo is headquartered in Miami Springs, Florida, with master control operations in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. The channel was founded as GEMS Televisión and rebranded as mun2 in 2001 after being acquired by Telemundo. In 2015, it was renamed NBC Universo to align with its parent company’s branding. As of November 2023, Universo is available in about 22 million households, down from a peak of 45 million in 2016.
