Freeform Television Channel

Freeform is a U.S. cable channel owned by Disney Entertainment, a division of The Walt Disney Company. It launched on April 29, 1977, as CBN Satellite Service. Initially a religious channel, it later evolved into a family-friendly network.

The channel underwent several rebrands, including Fox Family and ABC Family. On January 12, 2016, it adopted the Freeform name. Freeform mainly targets young adults aged 18-34, with a focus on young women. Its programming includes off-network syndicated reruns, original series, feature films, and seasonal programming blocks like 31 Nights of Halloween and 25 Days of Christmas.

As of September 2023, the channel is available to over 55 million households in the U.S., continuing to appeal to its target audience with a wide range of entertainment tailored to its demographic.
