MoreMax, launched in 1991, is a secondary channel under the Cinemax brand. It focuses on foreign, independent, and arthouse films, alongside a diverse mix of programming. The channel airs a nightly movie at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Originally named “Cinemax 2,” it was rebranded as MoreMax in 1998 with a complete on-air redesign. As a repeat channel, it offers viewers the chance to catch missed premieres 24 hours later.
