MSNBC Channel Television

MSNBC, a cable news network owned by NBCUniversal News Group, a subsidiary of Comcast, debuted on July 15, 1996. Its headquarters are located at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Initially, the channel provided general news coverage, but over time, it became known for its liberal-leaning political commentary. Prominent figures such as Rachel Maddow, Chris Matthews, and Keith Olbermann contributed to the network’s evolution into a platform for political punditry. However, in the 2020s, MSNBC shifted its focus back to hard news, scaling down opinion-based programming. By 2023, it had become the second most-watched cable news network in the U.S., with hit programs like The Rachel Maddow Show, The Beat with Ari Melber, and Deadline: White House.
