UPTV Channel Television
UP TV, originally known as Gospel Music Channel (GMC), was founded in 2004 by Charles Humbard, son of televangelist Rex Humbard, to focus on gospel music. The channel, owned by InterMedia Partners, initially offered diverse gospel and Christian music genres, including rock, pop, and metal. It also produced original programming like “Faith and Fame,” “Front Row Live,” and “America Sings,” along with gospel award shows such as The Stellar Awards and The GMA Dove Awards. In 2013, GMC rebranded as UP TV, shifting its focus towards family-friendly movies, series, and specials. As of 2015, the channel is available to approximately 67.6 million U.S. pay television households.
