SDR stands for “Sales Development Representative” and is the term used for a company’s individual they hire to conduct sales during a certain process of the sale. SDR could have different meanings depending on each company’s title and set task for the SDR.
What is a BDR?
-BDR stands for “Business Development Representative”
In certain companies you need to work your way up from a BDR to a SDR. Business Development Representatives tend to be the one’s cold calling, getting a bunch of no’s until they find someone interested and then qualifying the leads for the SDR. The SDR then takes that qualified lead and continues to develop it until it is a closed lead across the finish line. Sometimes these roles can be interchangeable depending on the companies.
