Great American Family Television Channel
Great American Family is a U.S. cable network owned by Great American Media. It specializes in family-friendly entertainment, offering original movies and TV series. Launched in 1995 as Great American Country (GAC), the channel initially focused on country music under Jones Radio Network. Over time, its programming shifted to lifestyle content with a focus on the American Heartland and Southern regions.
In 2021, GAC was acquired by GAC Media and rebranded as GAC Family, which was later renamed Great American Family. The network’s content strategy mirrors the Hallmark Channel, featuring original holiday-themed TV movies and talent. Country music content was transferred to Ride TV, rebranded as GAC Living (now Great American Faith & Living). By 2015, GAC reached 59 million U.S. households, but its current availability as of 2022 is unclear.
